Editas is seeking a Scientist with a focus on stem cells, cell biology, differentiation and related assays.

The candidate will be part of the iPSC team that is responsible for discovering potential therapies for iPSC-derived cell therapies and disease modeling. The successful candidate will interact effectively with the research and platform groups. The individual will provide support to generate iPSC lines, differentiate stem cells, develop disease modeling, implement gene editing and perform cell-based assays.

A successful candidate will demonstrate extensive knowledge in IPSCs, cell biology immunology and molecular biology. Work experience with cell therapy is highly desirable.

•‬‪PhD in stem cells, cell biology, immunology or related discipline‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
•Recent graduate with 0-2 years of related work experience in academic or industry setting‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
•‪Extensive experience in iPSC culture, expansion, ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬differentiation and characterization‬‬‬
•Experience in basic molecular and cell biology and bio analytical skills including but not limited to qPCR, cloning, FACs and ELISA
•Experience with cell imaging and immunofluorescence techniques
•‪Demonstrated excellence in planning, executing, and analyzing experiments‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
•‪Able to troubleshoot and solve difficult problems‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
•‪Attention to detail and careful record-keeping‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
•‪Excellent organizational and communication skills ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
•‪Experience in Microsoft office, excel, power point and able to write technical reports ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
and protocols and present data‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
•‪Highly self-motivated‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ and a strong team player‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
•‪Flexibility in working schedule to accommodate weekend work if necessary‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

•‬‪Experience with ESC or iPSC culture‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
•Experience in HSC, NK and T- cell differentiation highly desirable
•Prior experiences with CRISPR-Cas9-based gene editing in pluripotent stem cells
•Experience in automated cell culture
•Experience in animal models of immuno-oncology cell therapies
•Previous experience in industry setting preferred‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
