CRISPR (pronounced “crisper”) is an acronym for “Clustered, Regularly Interspaced, Short Palindromic Repeats,” and refers to a recently developed gene editing technology that can revise, remove, and replace DNA in a highly targeted manner. At Editas Medicine, we are using this technology to develop transformative and durable medicines for people living with serious diseases.
