The Laboratory Operations Manager works closely with our scientists to ensure smooth operations of the laboratory in a dynamic, fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Lab duties include but are not limited to:
•Organize and help maintain the structure of the lab, manage the lab consumable inventory, take care of stocking supplies, schedule refrigerator/freezer cleanings, pipette calibrations, maintain organization of the tissue culture suites, provide support on cell line inventories, gas tanks, biohazard and chemical waste.
•Work with EH&S consultants to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
•Maintain laboratory budgets and timelines.
•Coordinate the instrument preventive maintenance schedule.
•Manage lab-relevant service contracts and permit portfolio.
•Oversee lab instrumentation purchases.
•Oversee space management and optimization in the lab.
•Manage the critical equipment alarm system and schedule.
•Responsible for lab shipments to/from company while maintaining safe shipping and handling standards.
•Ensure that all laboratory activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, federal laws and regulations and company policies.
•Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the laboratory operations.
Establish routine standard operating procedures and protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:
•5+ years’ experience in a regulated lab setting that includes biologics
•Experience managing a laboratory preferred
•Excellent communication skills with employees and vendors
•Impeccable cell culture and aseptic technique and experience
•DOT Certification

Critical Capabilities:
•Familiarity managing HVAC, electrical, janitorial, and other facility related items
•Proven ability to work in a diverse and dynamic team
•Motivated self-starter with strong communication and time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
